Steps to Certification
Step 1 - Requirements for Admission
- Complete online application *January 1st - August 31st
- Undergraduate degree
Step 2 - Acceptance
- Pay $200 enrollment fee
- Sign acceptance letter
- Set up payment plan
Step 3 - Enrollment
- Coursework begins May 1st
- Complete RTL orientation
- Pass Praxis II content exam
- Obtain a Practitioner’s License
- Begin Phase 1 of coursework
Step 4 - Find a Teaching Position
- Apply for teaching positions in your chosen content area
- Interview for open teaching positions
- Become a teacher of record for field experience
Step 5 - Complete Certification
- Complete two semesters of field experience as a teacher of record
- Pass all required Praxis exams
- Complete all coursework
- Pay remaining balance in full
- Apply for teaching certificate
